A pretty light schedule last night in the NBA, as only three games took place. However in those games there was plenty of Carolina Blue involved, and so that can only mean that it is time for me to do my daily post about the ex UNC players that I call "Heels in the League".
First game has Heels going head to head, with Minnesota and Charlotte facing off. For the home team it's Rashad McCants, who got just under 20 minutes in the game, while scoring 6 points and getting 1 rebound, 1 assist and 2 steals. The ex Heel also had 3 turnovers on the night, but that could be from the rust of coming back from back spasms.
For the home team is the duo that won the national title with McCants, Raymond Felton and Sean May. The ex UNC point guard had a double double with 14 points and 14 assists on the night. Felton also added 3 rebounds and 2 steals in his 37 minutes of playing time. As far as the ex Carolina big man he got just under 14 minutes, registering 5 points and 3 rebounds on the night. In the end the Bobcats (6-11) beat the Timberwolves (4-12) 100-90.
In the other game that has a Heel it is Miami and Golden State going at it. For the Warriors Brandan Wright started the game and played a bit more than 31 minutes. In that time frame the ex Heel forward had 15 points (on 7 for 13 shooting), 4 rebounds, 1 steal and 2 blocked shots. All of that was for not, as the Warriors (5-13) lost by the narrowest of margin to the Heat (9-9) 130 to 129.
