Looking around the World Leader in Sports I found this very interesting article by Todd McShay (of Scouts Inc.). (I am not linking since it is an "insider" article) It speaks of five senior wide receivers on the upswing as their college career comes to an end and the NFL scouts will be watching them closely for next year's draft. Ranked number one is North Carolina's Brandon Tate, and it is nice to see that the young man is getting recognition at the national level.

McShay gives some positives and then some negatives as well, hinting that Tate will need to do things past the season, such as all star game and NFL workouts, in order to be a first day selection. He also talks how not having the starting quarterback might hurt Tate in the long run. I have to say that while I might agree with some of the things that Mr. McShay, I think Brandon Tate is going to be very requested because of his many talents, like special team player, where he has been doing great things.
In the end I am glad that Brandon Tate is being featured on ESPN, and with some great games, especially within the conference, I am sure that all the talent evaluators will be watching the young man to see how good he is. Today's game against Notre Dame could very well be a great stage for Tate (and the rest of the receivers) to show off their speed and toughness. The reason why I like Tate is because anytime he touches the ball could be the time that he makes something special happen, and I am sure that the scouts like that as well.
