After last week's sub par picking, week seven doesn't give me much of a chance to get back into the swing of things. With only three games to pick from, since one was on Thursday (Clemson vs Wake Forest) and, as everyone knows, I do not put UNC in this thread, I better do well if I want to stay over a .500 winning record. Last week I went 2 and 3, while overall I am 13-10 on the season (this is the fourth week of picking) All the games are non conference ones, but two of them seem pretty interesting.12:00 p.m. EST - Scott Stadium - Charlottesville, VA
Small Overview: After Virginia had a great game last week, upsetting Maryland, they are not going to be able to do it in back to back week. Skip Holtz's squad has to prove that they are not a first half of the season wonder, and this game is going to prove it in some ways. ECU is quicker than UVa and today that will be shown over and over again.
Vegas Line: ECU -61/2
Prediction of the Game: I do not think that this game will be close in the end. I see East Carolina winning by two (or more) touchdowns, take the Pirates and give the points.
3:30 p.m. EST - Bobby Dodd Stadium - Atlanta, GA
Small Overview: This game is nothing more than a glorified practice for Georgia Tech and a chance to have a big time name on Gardner-Webb's schedule. This game shouldn't be close by the end of the first half, and if it is there is something very wrong with the Yellow Jackets.
Vegas Line: No Line
Prediction of the Game: I would take Ga Tech even if it was a 30+ points spread. This game should be anywhere between 42 and 49 for Georgia Tech and less than 10 points for Gardner-Webb.
3:45 p.m. EST - Dolphin Stadium - Miami Gardens, FL
Small Overview: This game is going to be about what the Hurricanes have learned in the last two games. After being shown what it means to fight to the end by the Tar Heels and then doing it themselves against FSU, if Miami can play with the intesity that they have, they should have no problem in handling Central Florida.
Vegas Line: Miami -17
Prediction of the Game: I think that Miami will win this game, but I do not think they will cover the spread, so take UCF and the points and hope that after a big time game against another florida team the `Canes will be a bit relaxed.
