Here is a small update for those of you that are waiting to hear/see what will happen to the threesome that is working out for the NBA scouts/teams. From what Danny Green's father said to the media his son has not yet received his invitation, but believes it will come this week. From the article I read the other two team mates of Green (Lawson & Ellington) were not yet reached, but were also expected to receive their invitations. The article also said that the National Basketball Association had not yet finalized the list of the invitees for the NBA Pre-Draft Camp, that is set to begin May 29th. Also, it seems that none of the three players have yet hired an agent, meaning that the possibility of coming back to North Carolina is still alive. The trio have until June 16th to withdraw their name for this year's draft.
Green's father said that his son only will stay in the draft if he is guaranted to be a first rounder in the draft. I think that is probably the attitude that the other two players will also have, and it could mean that both Green and Ellington should be coming back to Chapel Hill for another year. If that was the reality the Tar Heels could easily have a great season with the talent that they have and the ones coming in.
